ONGOING SEO FOR CREATIVES AND SERVICE BUSINESSES
Monthly SEO packages built around steady, useful progress
I help you improve your website month by month through practical SEO strategy, technical fixes, content, on-page optimisation and authority building. You get clear priorities, consistent implementation and reporting that explains what is actually happening—not a colourful spreadsheet designed to keep everyone politely confused.
WHY ONGOING SEO?
SEO rarely improves because somebody looked at it once
An audit can show you what is wrong. A consultation can help you make a decision. Monthly SEO is for the stage where the strategy needs to be implemented, measured and improved over time.
Websites change. Competitors publish new pages. Search behaviour shifts. Google discovers technical problems, strong pages plateau and new opportunities appear in Search Console. Ongoing SEO gives those moving parts a sensible rhythm.
The aim is to keep working on the next most useful thing for your visibility, enquiries and long-term authority.
Monthly SEO is useful when…
- Your website has potential but progress keeps stalling
- You know SEO matters but do not have time to implement it
- You need new service, location or topical content
- Technical issues and on-page improvements have piled up
- You want consistent measurement rather than occasional guesswork
- You need a strategy that connects Google visibility with AI search
WHAT MONTHLY SEO CAN INCLUDE
One connected strategy, not six unrelated mini-services
The exact mix depends on your website, competition and goals. I combine the areas that need attention rather than forcing every client through the same checklist.
Strategy and research
Keyword research, competitor analysis, search intent, service and location priorities, content gaps and a practical roadmap tied to your business goals.
Technical SEO
Crawling, indexing, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps, Core Web Vitals, duplicate content, broken links and other technical barriers that make growth harder.
On-page optimisation
Page titles, headings, copy, image signals, internal links, structured information and stronger alignment between a page, its search intent and its conversion goal.
Content and topical authority
Useful service pages, location pages, guides, case studies and supporting articles that answer real questions and deepen your website’s subject coverage.
Authority and links
Backlink review, link-gap research, digital PR angles, citations, partnerships, reclamation and relevant editorial opportunities where they make strategic sense.
Measurement and reporting
Google Search Console, analytics, rankings, indexing and conversion signals translated into clear observations, completed work and next priorities.
MONTHLY SEO PACKAGE OPTIONS
Choose the level of momentum your website needs
These packages are starting frameworks. After reviewing your website, I recommend the right level and confirm the exact monthly scope before any work begins.
Build and maintain stronger foundations
For smaller websites that need consistent guidance, technical housekeeping and focused improvements without a large monthly content workload.
- Monthly strategy and priority review
- Search Console and indexing checks
- Technical and on-page improvements
- Internal linking and content refreshes
- Clear monthly report and next actions
Best fit: established small businesses, portfolio websites and owners who can implement some recommendations themselves.
Create consistent organic growth
For businesses ready to expand their website, target new opportunities and combine implementation with ongoing content and optimisation.
- Everything needed from the foundations work
- Keyword, competitor and content-gap research
- New or substantially improved priority pages
- Content cluster and internal-link development
- Authority-building opportunities where suitable
Best fit: photographers, videographers, creatives and local service businesses actively trying to grow enquiries.
Compete across more valuable searches
For competitive niches, multi-location businesses or larger websites that need a broader content, technical and authority strategy.
- Deeper technical and competitor analysis
- Expanded service, location or topic architecture
- More substantial content implementation
- Digital authority and link-building activity
- Closer performance analysis and strategic iteration
Best fit: ambitious businesses with several services, locations, markets or competitors already investing heavily in search.
Pricing is provided after a website review because workload depends on the size of the site, competition, current condition and how much implementation you need. I would rather scope the work honestly than put an attractive number on a package that cannot do the job.
PACKAGE COMPARISON
A simple way to compare the three levels
Your final proposal will list the actual deliverables. This table shows the strategic difference between each package.
| Area | SEO Foundations | SEO Growth | SEO Authority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best for | Smaller, established websites | Businesses actively expanding visibility | Competitive, multi-service or multi-location sites |
| Strategy | Focused monthly priorities | Ongoing growth roadmap | Broader competitive strategy |
| Technical SEO | Monitoring and priority fixes | Regular implementation | Deeper and more complex work |
| Content | Refreshes and focused improvements | New pages and supporting content | Expanded architecture and content production |
| Authority building | Advice where relevant | Targeted opportunities | More active authority development |
| Reporting | Monthly summary and actions | Monthly performance and strategy review | Closer analysis and strategic iteration |
THE FIRST 90 DAYS
What the beginning of a monthly SEO campaign usually looks like
The order changes when a website has an urgent technical issue, migration or traffic drop, but this is the general rhythm.
Understand and prioritise
I review the website, business goals, services, locations, competitors, Search Console data and current SEO foundations. We agree what success should look like and which work comes first.
Fix and strengthen
I work through priority technical issues, page structure, internal links, metadata, weak commercial pages and obvious content gaps that are limiting visibility or confusing search intent.
Expand and learn
We build out the most useful new opportunities, measure early signals and adjust the roadmap. SEO becomes a cycle of informed improvement rather than a one-off tidy-up.
GOOGLE AND AI SEARCH
Search visibility now needs more than a list of target keywords
People may discover a business through traditional Google results, Maps, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or another assisted search experience. The platforms differ, but they still need clear, trustworthy information about who you are, what you do and why your website deserves to be referenced.
- Clear business, service and location entities
- Useful pages that answer specific questions properly
- Consistent author, brand and contact information
- First-hand examples, case studies and visible evidence
- Relevant mentions, citations and backlinks across the web
- Technically accessible pages with strong internal relationships
Monthly SEO gives us the space to strengthen those signals together rather than chasing a separate “AI SEO trick” each time a new tool appears.
FEATURED SEO CASE STUDY
Daily Google impressions for a wedding videographer
This project combined website structure, keyword research, content optimisation, media improvements and relevant authority building. The useful lesson is not that one task created the result. It is that consistent work across several connected areas gave Google a much clearer website to understand and rank.
What this means for your campaign
I do not isolate content, links, technical SEO and website structure as though they live in different universes. Each month, I look at how the pieces support one another.
- Strong content needs to be crawlable and internally linked
- Links work better when they point to useful pages
- Rankings matter more when the page attracts the right enquiry
- Reports should influence the next decision, not just record the past
REPORTING WITHOUT THE FOG
You should know what your SEO budget is doing
A monthly report should help you understand progress and make better decisions. It should not hide a quiet month behind 42 charts and a dramatic green arrow.
I explain completed work, meaningful changes, opportunities, limitations and the next priorities in plain English. Where the data is still too early or noisy to support a conclusion, I say that too.
Your reporting can cover
- Work completed and pages changed
- Google Search Console clicks, impressions and queries
- Indexing, crawl and technical observations
- Ranking and visibility trends where useful
- Content and authority progress
- Enquiry or conversion signals when tracking allows it
- Recommended priorities for the next stage
IS MONTHLY SEO RIGHT FOR YOU?
A good fit matters more than squeezing every website into a retainer
Monthly SEO is likely to suit you when…
- You want long-term visibility rather than a quick ranking trick
- You are willing to improve the website, not just monitor keywords
- You have clear services, locations or topics you want to grow
- You value realistic advice and transparent communication
- You understand that SEO compounds but cannot be guaranteed
Another service may be better when…
- You only need diagnosis and a DIY roadmap—start with an SEO audit

- You only need written pages or articles—explore content writing
- Your priority is authority work for an already strong site—consider backlink building
- You are looking for guaranteed rankings or instant results
A PERSONAL SEO CONSULTANCY
You work directly with me from strategy to implementation
I’m Michal, the person behind The SEO Tog. I help photographers, videographers, creatives and service businesses make their websites easier to find, understand and trust.
There is no handover from a salesperson to an account manager and then to somebody whose name appears only in a project-management notification. I review the data, plan the work, make the improvements and explain the thinking.
Photography remains my strongest specialism, but the same practical principles apply to service businesses whose customers search by problem, service, location, proof and trust. You can see the audiences I work with on the Who I Help page.
What you can expect from me
- Honest priorities rather than an endless task list
- Advice explained without unnecessary jargon
- Work shaped around your website and resources
- No invented certainty or guaranteed first-page claims
- A strategy that considers rankings, users and enquiries together
- Communication with the person actually doing the work
MONTHLY SEO FAQS
Questions before starting an ongoing SEO package
How much do monthly SEO packages cost?
The cost depends on the size and condition of your website, competition, target markets, content needs and how much implementation is required. I review the website first, recommend the appropriate package level and provide a clear proposal with the agreed monthly scope.
Do I have to choose a fixed package?
The three packages provide a useful starting point, but the detailed scope is tailored. Two businesses may both need SEO Growth while requiring a different balance of technical work, content, local SEO or authority building.
How long does monthly SEO take to work?
There is no reliable universal timeline. Some technical or indexing improvements may be visible relatively quickly, while competitive rankings and meaningful organic growth can take much longer. Timing depends on the website, competition, starting authority, implementation and how search engines reassess the changes.
Can you guarantee first-page rankings or a certain number of enquiries?
No. Search results and customer decisions are influenced by many factors outside one consultant’s control. I can provide evidence-led strategy, careful implementation and transparent measurement, but I will not sell certainty that does not exist.
What do you need access to?
Access usually includes your website platform, Google Search Console and analytics. Depending on the work, I may also need your Google Business Profile, hosting or performance tools. Access is agreed carefully and limited to what the campaign genuinely requires.
Will you write and upload content?
Content writing, editing and uploading can form part of the agreed scope. The amount depends on the package and priorities. I also work with your existing drafts, subject expertise, images and case-study material so the content reflects the real business rather than becoming generic SEO wallpaper.
Do monthly packages include backlinks?
Authority-building can be included where the website is ready for it and suitable opportunities exist. I do not promise a fixed pile of links simply to fill a report. Relevant links work best when they support strong pages, useful content and a credible wider brand presence.
Is monthly SEO only for photographers?
No. Photography is my flagship specialism, and I also work with videographers, creatives and service businesses such as plumbers, electricians, builders and roofers. The strategy is adapted to how your customers search and how your business earns trust.
Can you help with ChatGPT and AI search visibility?
Yes, as part of the wider search strategy. I focus on clearer entities, useful expert content, structured information, evidence, citations, brand consistency and technical accessibility. There is no guaranteed switch for appearing in an AI answer, so this work supports discoverability rather than promising a specific mention.
What happens if monthly SEO is not the right starting point?
I will say so. A focused consultation, an SEO audit, a content project or technical clean-up may be more sensible first. The goal is to choose the help your website needs, not force every enquiry into a retainer.
READY FOR CONSISTENT SEO PROGRESS?
Let’s work out what your website actually needs each month
Tell me about your business, your website and where you want to become more visible. I’ll review the starting point and recommend the most sensible package—or tell you when a different service would be a better investment.
